Tina Hoang – Talent Sourcer

As a talent sourcer at ATR, under the supervision of the Staffing Manager and Senior Recruiters, I am exercising independent judgment in qualifying job applicants and selecting candidates to hire. I spend the day sourcing for quality candidates by using our internal database, various internet sites, and other methods. During the day I am also documenting ongoing activities throughout the recruiting process and developing positive relationship with clients, employees, and applicants. There are times when I have to administer tests to candidates and counsel and coach candidates when necessary. I enjoy working in the staffing industry because it’s a rewarding feeling when you help someone obtain a job that they were really interested in. I also enjoy the staffing industry because of the competitive nature. It makes me want to work harder and smarter to achieve my goals!

Advice for Candidates:

The advice I would give job seekers and candidates is to always be professional and always be prepared for interviews whether it is bringing in copy of your resumes or bringing a notepad and a pen to the interview. Also, another piece of advice would be to do research on the company that you want to work for and bring in lots of questions to ask the hiring manager because they love to hear them and they love to answer them!

What are your hobbies and interests outside of work?

I love to hang with my family and friends, cook, eat, and nap when I can. I also love to take trips to a place I have not visited before. I think Seattle and Portland are next on my list 🙂
